Q&A: Are exercise science and physiology of exercise required for Physical Therapy?
Question by dave6: Are exercise science and physiology of exercise required for Physical Therapy?
I want to go to physical therapy school and I need to know if these two courses are required for ALL physical therapy schools. I checked some schools out online and they all have different requirements and I’m confused which course to take. So I need to know if PT schools put more emphasis on exercise science or exercise physiology.

Every school has their own requirement, so you really have to know what school you plan on attending. Generally speaking, physiology is required for all programs, but whether it is required in the graduate or undergraduate phase is variable. Exercise physiology is not always a prereq either and you may get all the exercise phys you need while in the program.
